Naples is a city in which periods of history seem to overlap and form an idiosyncratic whole containing many treasures for you to discover and enjoy. Bask in the warmth of its people, savor its rustic southern cuisine and thrill to its bustling, noisy, urban charm. Ascend the funicular to the district of Vomero. At the monastery of San Martino, pause at the belvedere for a spectacular view of the city. Visit the museum at the former monastery, with its collection of nativity scenes, then climb up to the ramparts of Castel Sant’Elmo for panoramic views. Finish the day at lovely Villa Floridiana, which houses a ceramics museum.

Spend the day in the heart of the city. Begin at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, packed with treasures from Pompeii and Herculaneum, then wander narrow streets lined with ancient buildings and lovely churches to arrive at the spectacular cathedral of San Gennaro. Take a bus to Capodimonte and visit the palace museum. Chiaia is considered Naples’ most elegant quarter, with designer shops and the famous seafront, a long but pleasant walk starting from Castel dell’Ovo, a fortress resembling a cliff of volcanic rock rising from the sea, and finishing in Mergellina, an ancient fishing village that is now the city’s tourist port.

Stroll along Via Posillipo, which follow the promontory just north of the city, offering marvelous views. There are many historic houses and other splendid private residences, many of which have their own path down to the beach. While pizza is a Neapolitan specialty not to be missed, you should also try the delicious sfogliatella, buttery puff pastry filled with ricotta flavored with cinnamon and orange peel. The Property
Located in the heart of Naples, Palazzo Napoleone is a splendid residence whose main façade on Piazza Sette Settembre is known for an important historical event. In 1860, from the main balcony, Giuseppe Garibaldi announced the annexation of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies into the Kingdom of Italy. Commissioned by Prince Marcantonio Doria, this residence embodies the true spirit of comfort and elegance, providing a perfect hideaway in one of the most beautiful corners in Naples. Palazzo Napoleone can accommodate up to twelve guests featuring six double bedrooms complete with en-suite bathroom.

The interiors of this noble palace boast luxury fabrics, antique furnishings and spectacular artwork. In these rooms, the skilled Neapolitan painter Fedele Fischetti created some spectacular frescoes with allegorical scenes. Today the parts that retain the original decorations are the hall of mirrors and the elliptical-shaped gallery on the main floor. The residence also includes a chapel, of which the eighteenth-century altar is still visible. On the main floor you will also find a professional fully-equipped kitchen featuring all the amenities you might need during your stay and a magnificent dining room.

Retention time
