Situated in Anacapri, the quieter side of the island, Villa Solaro offers a tranquil retreat on Capri, renowned for its beauty since the 19th century. This six-bedroom villa provides an ideal escape with its stunning views and serene atmosphere. Capri, celebrated for its whitewashed buildings and car-free streets, exudes a cinematic charm. The island is known for its steep cliffs, elegant villas draped in wisteria, and meticulously manicured trees.

Villa Solaro is conveniently located just a stone's throw from Villa San Michele, the former home of Swedish doctor and animal-rights advocate Axel Munthe. This historic site, built on the ruins of a Roman villa, features beautifully maintained gardens perfect for a peaceful stroll. The villa is also near the Grotta Azzurra, a renowned sea cave illuminated by a magical blue light, best visited via a boat tour from Marina Grande.

Capri's most famous beach is Marina Grande, where you’ll find a small sandy area among pebbles, making it a popular spot for families. From here, small boats can take you to the beloved Bagni di Tiberio. The villa is also a short distance from Villa Jovis, the largest of the twelve Roman villas built by Emperor Tiberius, offering a glimpse into the island's imperial past.

Villa Solaro is 49 km from Naples Capodichino International Airport and 282 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Monte Solaro Chair Lift is 1.2 km from the villa, Villa San Michele is 1.9 km, the Grotta Azzurra is 3 km, the famous Piazzetta di Capri is 4 km, Marina Grande is 5 km, Bagni di Tiberio is 6 km, Villa Jovis is 6 km, and Villa Lysis is 6 km.

The Property
Perched high on a hillside in Anacapri, Villa Solaro offers an idyllic retreat with panoramic views across Monte Solaro and the sea. Recently renovated, the villa combines traditional charm with modern comforts, accommodating up to twelve guests in six double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, across two floors.

The villa features a generous terrace with a pool (available from 2024), comfortable sun loungers, large parasols, and a hot tub for five. The surrounding park, with its olive trees, carobs, and holm oaks, enhances the Mediterranean experience. The reception area, accessed via stairs, leads to a bright living space with a lounge featuring comfortable benches, a fireplace, and a 77-inch satellite TV. The dining area includes five single tables that can be joined to form one large table.

Modern interiors include a fully-equipped kitchen with all necessary amenities and a wine cellar. The villa’s open-plan living and dining area flows into a spacious living room (available from 2024) with a large sofa, satellite TV, and French doors leading to the panoramic terrace.

The villa's six double bedrooms, spread across two floors, each have an en-suite bathroom (one with a tub). The two bedrooms on the lower floor have direct access to the terrace, while all rooms feature air conditioning, independently controlled and fixed to the floor or walls. An external staircase connects the two floors.

Villa Solaro also offers a stairlift for guests with reduced mobility. Please note that the fireplace in the living room is decorative and cannot be used. Additionally, on the lower floor, near one of the bedrooms, is the butler/caretaker's room. This individual is responsible for daily cleaning and provides guest assistance during the day and night, with availability for emergencies.

Retention time
