Located on the northwestern shores of Lake Como, this elegant ten-bedroom villa is the perfect retreat for a relaxing Italian break by the lake that has inspired poets and artists for centuries. These days, the fabulous villas for which the lake is famous are popular with celebrities. Explore the pretty lakeside towns or pull on hiking boots and climb up to castles, mount a horse, or grab a mountain bike, and then cool down in the shady garden of one of the villas.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Menaggio, a picturesque town of ancient origins overlooking Lake Como. Upon your arrival in Menaggio, you may want to experience the town the way a local would. In that case, start your tour from Via Calvi and take a look at the small boutiques and shops of craftsmen who sell local products. The elegant lake promenade of Menaggio starts from Piazza Garibaldi and is the perfect place for a relaxing walk between flower beds and colourful houses.

Take a boat to Tremezzo, one of the most romantic places on Lake Como, home to Villa Carlotta. Built at the close of the 17th century, Villa Carlotta was enriched with valuable works of art, including incredible sculptures by Antonio Canova, still on display inside the villa. But the main attraction is its luxuriant garden by the calm waters of Lake Como, which is divided into two parts: an Italian garden designed in the 18th century and an English one laid out by Princess Carlotta herself.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Bellagio, a picturesque lakeside town surrounded by forested hills. Take a stroll around the steep, narrow lanes of this pretty village and enjoy an evening drink in this celebrated holiday destination. The villa is also a few kilometres from Lenno, nestling by a little bay on the lake. Do not miss the view of the lake from the balcony of the grand Villa Balbianello, take a walk around its magnificent gardens, and enjoy the wonderful views from the trails.

The villa is a few kilometres from Argegno, a small village overlooking Lake Como in the area of its greatest depth. After walking along the characteristic and narrow streets of the old town, do not miss the chance to take in the beautiful surroundings. The villa is also a few kilometres from Isola Comacina, the only island on the lake that can be reached by a boat trip, which is a must when visiting Lake Como. The ferry to the island leaves from Scala Comacina.

Villa Rossa is 90 km from Milano Malpensa Airport, 101 km from Milano Linate Airport, and 105 km from Bergamo Orio al Serio International Airport. Menaggio is 5 km from the villa, Tremezzo is 10 km, Bellagio is 12 km, Mezzegra is 13 km, Lenno is 13 km, Isola Comacina is 15 km, Argegno is 20 km, Varenna is 50 km, and Como is 41 km.

Located on the western shores of the lake, this elegant 19th-century villa is sumptuously furnished and offers an impressive sense of space. Surrounded by a lush garden, the villa can accommodate up to twenty guests, featuring ten double bedrooms with bathrooms spread over the main villa and the dépendance.

Set in a lush garden, the villa boasts an exclusive pool and a spacious sundeck surrounded by magnificent marble columns and furnished with sun loungers, inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a calm atmosphere, the sundeck represents an idyllic spot for basking in the sun and enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation with a good book. The garden also features a generous al fresco dining area, the perfect setting for romantic dinners, a playground, and an exceptional tennis court.

The ground floor of the main villa boasts a large foyer with a fireplace, which leads to an elegant open-plan living and dining area featuring comfortable sofas with plenty of seating and large windows capturing views of the lake. On the same floor, you will also find a spacious dining room and a professional kitchen. Flooded with natural light, the ground floor also houses a double bedroom with a bathroom with a shower, a spacious games room complete with a table tennis and foosball table, and a half bathroom.

Accessed via a majestic staircase, the first floor features two double bedrooms with a large terrace overlooking the lake and en-suite bathrooms with showers and Jacuzzis, and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and tub. The second floor houses two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers and tubs (one with a Jacuzzi tub), a veranda with a pool table, and a small gym. The third floor features two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers, and one double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and tub.

Designed for privacy and relaxation, the dépendance near the main villa boasts a comfortable double bedroom with a bathroom with a shower. The villa’s timeless charm is complete with all the comforts and conveniences of modern living. It was amazing! Daniela, Michael, the staff treated us so well and took such good care of our whole group. We had an incredible week in a beautiful location thanks to the Villa Rossa staff and home. We will definitely consider using the same location in the future for any of our needs. And, all the staff that has communicated with us over the past year getting everything setup and planning have been wonderful. I greatly appreciated each one of them!

Retention time
