Situated in the heart of Chianti, just a few kilometers from the charming towns of Florence and Siena, Villa Marciano represents the perfect location for day trips to the most beautiful towns in Tuscany and provides a unique opportunity to admire its iconic landscapes while soaking up the region’s incredibly rich historical and cultural heritage.

The villa is a few kilometers from San Gimignano, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Italy. From afar, San Gimignano looks like a town from a Renaissance painting: a circle of 13th-century walls enclosing tall, teetering stone towers. Its towers make it instantly recognizable, but the art treasures held within its walls are just as remarkable. Although the town is small, there is enough art, architecture and fine food to keep you busy for more than one day.

The villa is also a few kilometers from the medieval town of Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo, and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

In less than one hour by car, you can reach Florence, a treasure trove of art with an astonishing contemporary vibe. Beyond the extraordinary artistic heritage, a testimony to its centuries of civilization, the best way to enjoy Florence is to stroll along the riverside avenues at sunset, or to get lost among the city’s myriad alleyways of the bohemian Oltrarno or the narrow little streets of San Niccolò, where it feels like you have ended up in another time along its centuries-old walls.

The Property
Nestled within a lush vineyard and lavish woodland, Villa Marciano offers a perfect country escape for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in the heart of Tuscany. Its unspoiled location, set between Florence and Siena, makes this splendid farmhouse the perfect choice for those wishing to explore Tuscany and all that it has to offer. Villa Marciano can accommodate up to eighteen guests in nine bedrooms complete with en-suite bathroom spread over two independent houses, the main villa and the dépendance.

Winding roads weave in and around vineyards and olive groves, guiding you towards your Tuscan retreat. A well-lit stone and iron gated entry welcomes your arrival. The villa features a heated salt-water infinity pool with Jacuzzi and a generous poolside area with sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind while enjoying the panorama. Offering a serene atmosphere, the outdoor area also features a bocce court, a loggia for al fresco dining (seating up to 20 guests), a poolside bar, and a wood-fired pizza oven.

As is the standard at Villa Marciano, the beds and furnishings were handcrafted by local artisans an exude a relaxed elegance that ensures you feel at home. There are generous armchairs for reading, customized pillow selection for the perfect night’s sleep and comfortable guest robes for morning lounging with coffee and views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape. The nine bedrooms are spread over the main farmhouse and the dépendance. You will find seven bedrooms in the farmhouse and two bedrooms in the dépendance.

Main Villa:
The property’s main house, which has been masterfully restored, features seven rooms complete with en-suite bathroom. Six bedrooms are located on the upper floor, adjacent to a media room with fireplace, while the seventh room is on the lower floor. Of the six double bedrooms on the upper floor, one can be converted into a twin room, upon request. The seventh room on the lower floor of the main house is actually an office featuring a comfortable double sofa bed.

As previously mentioned, all the rooms have en-suite bathroom. One bathroom, the master bedroom’s one, has both bathtub and shower, while the others have shower. You will also find an additional bathroom near the kitchen on the lower floor. On the lower floor you will also find a spacious living area with fireplace, a reclaimed Parisian bar for your evening aperitivo and an expertly curated wine cellar, as well as a gourmet kitchen and generous dining room with A/V capabilities for meetings or presentations.

Dépendance:
The dépendance is connected by a spacious stone terrace and features two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, which are located on the upper floor. The lower floor of the dépendance features a private newly-built Roman SPA featuring dry and steam saunas, a sensory shower, and a large in-ground Jacuzzi to help you rejuvenate after a long day of exploring Tuscany. In the dépendance, you will also find a well-outfitted catering kitchen and two additional bathrooms.
