Villa Mozart is located in Pianello del Lario, named after the river flowing from the mountains into the lake and part of a collection of hamlets on the shores of Lake Como. In the picturesque town you’ll find flowers and plants and a lovely pebbled beach for swimming, sailing and windsurfing in the summer. In the wintertime, the ski slopes are just a short drive away.  Menaggio is ten minutes from Pianello where you can take a ferry to neighbouring lake towns or head to Lake Lugano. In Pianello del Lario you can stroll along the lake to visit towns of Calozzo and Musso to experience other charming views. Aside from the restaurants and coffee bars, you can also find a grocery store in Pianello del Lario for your cooking needs.

The visitor can take a boat to one of the charming towns along the coast like Bellagio, the quaint seaside town on the promontory of the two southern parts of Lake Como. It is just a short drive and ferry ride away from the villa. There you can stroll down Via Garibaldi and take in the boutiques, gardens and the restaurants and bars of this jewel of a town. The villa is about an hour from the famous Como, a hillside city boasting views of the lake. In the pristine, picturesque town you can visit Villa del Balbianello, Basilica of Sant’Abbondio and also catch the Botanic Gardens at Hotel Cipressi.

This property is about an hour and 45 minute drive to Milan, the Italian gateway to Europe and a city full of art and architecture and bustling with fashion and style. Check out the famed Duomo, see the unforgettable opera house of La Scala, or take in the artwork at the Pinanoteca of Brera. If you fancy heading to Switzerland you can take a look at the famous UNESCO heritage site of Bellinzona which boasts three extraordinary castles in the canton Ticino area, nestled in the Alps. Just east of the Ticino River, this ancient town has been occupied since the Neolithic age and is rich with beauty and history. Not to be overlooked is the small city of Lugano where you can visit Monte San Salvatore or Monte Bre by cable car for breath-taking views or a trip around the lake by boat. The town is full of churches and the unforgettable Piazza della Riforma is a place to try Ticinese dishes in the local restaurants. A car’s trip away is Orta di San Giulio which is a medieval town with a lovely island right in the middle of the lake, home to the Basilica di San Giulio, built in the 9th century. The monastery Santa Caterina del Sasso is built into a steep rock face just over the Lake Maggiore. The botanic gardens of Villa Taranto in Intra where you can visit the herbarium, Fontana Dei Putti and Vertical Gardens.

Villa Mozart can host up to twelve people and is an oasis for a large family or small group. It is a perfect place for outside get-togethers. The property is 20 km from Bellagio and 48 km from Como. Bellinzona is 68 km from the villa, Lugano 40 km, Orta di San Giulio is 127 km. The well-connected Milan train station and bus station are easily accessed in the center of the city which is 96 km from the property. The Malpensa Airport is 96 km and Lugano Airport is 45 km from the villa.

The Property. This pristine property is set within the quaint lake hamlet of Pianello del Lario with the church of San Martino and its abbey built in the 1500’s as well as the Museum of Larian boats which houses a collection representing the sailing history and tradition of the town. This lakefront property is on the Northwest shore of Lake Como boasting kilometers of beaches and coastline of blues and greens from the trees and uncontaminated nature.

Guests can enjoy the stunning setting in this villa where one can find relaxation wandering and exploring the landscape with access to the beach from the property. The villa is in an exclusive position on the lake and most importantly there is the incredible pool perfectly positioned within the landscape of the property to allow for breath-taking views of the lake. The visitor can spend days visiting the local sites, going for day trips around the beautiful region and having drinks at sunset at the pool will decidedly bring magic and calm to your vacation.

The sprawling 2,500 sq. metre property was finished in 2019 and is filled with impeccably decorated rooms in exclusive materials and furniture. The immense estate can comfortably accommodate twelve guests in six double bedrooms and six private bathrooms with an additional staff bedroom and bathroom. The villashines with a modern touch while its spaces and garden have a distinct respect for its unforgettable surroundings. It is the epitome of modern luxury.

Enter the immaculate ground floor of the Villa Mozart to find a large entrance hall leading to a stunning living room with comfy sofas, satellite TV and DVD player with antique Lombard cotto flooring. On this floor there is also another sitting room with lake views. For the music lovers there is even a ready-to-play grand piano! There is a dining room for eighteen people and a fully-equipped modern kitchen with two ovens, blast chiller, two dishwashers and a large kitchen island. At the back on the kitchen there is a service bedroom and bathroom. On the ground floor you’ll find the “silver” double bedroom with en suite bathroom for maximum access for people with disabilities. There is also a ceiling fan to gently cool the room in the summer. At the entrance at the back of the villa, guests can access the stairs to the basement where the 200 sq. metre laundry services are located. On the ground floor you will find a dining area, a living area with fireplace, kitchen and a small gym and foosball.

The stairs and the pavements of first floor are made of aged and treated chestnut. All of the five bedrooms have soundproofed windows and private en suite bathrooms and the double beds can easily be separated to create two twin beds. They all are connected by a large hall with access to a terrace.  Both floors are about 250 sq. metres. The lilac bedroom has a large terrace, the orange bedroom has a terrace as well and the yellow bedroom has a balcony.

The grounds of Villa Mozart include a heated swimming pool (from the 2nd week of May until the 3rd week of September with heating outside of this period available at an additional cost) perfection positioned within the lakeshore landscape. The panorama from the pool and villa is a view full of romance and history and is only a few metres from the public beach at the shore of lake. There are plenty of places for lounging and relaxing on the property including the panoramic sun patio within the large private garden which overlooks the lake promenade and the beach. The town of Pianello del Lario, with its restaurants and shops, is part of one of the most exclusive parts of the lake and is just a ten minute walk from the villa. The property is adjacent to Villa La Rotonda sul Lago which can also be rented to accommodate large parties. There is also private parking available at the villa.
