Built in 1881 in a quiet alley right in the center of Manduria and surrounded by an impressive 4000-sqm garden with secular trees that once belonged to Frederick II, Duke of Swabia, this elegant palazzo is situated between the two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian, offering complete privacy to its guests and providing a perfect retreat for those who want to explore this exceptional area. Famous for its whitewashed towns, excellent food, dramatic coastal cliffs and beautiful beaches, this area of Southern Italy features all the ingredients for the perfect vacation.

Porto Cesareo sits on a prestigious part of the Ionian coast, enjoying a long stretch of beach and sparkling clean seas. The popular seaside resort has an amazing 17 km of golden beach facing an archipelago of low-lying islands that form a protected bay. The water is calm and clear. Porto Cesareo is also the home of a nature preserve that is a marine protected area rich in flora and fauna with very rare species. Underwater excursions allow for viewing of the unique coral formations, turtles, sea horses, and other marine life.

In less than one hour by car, you can easily reach Ostuni, also known as “the white city”. With its ancient cobblestone streets, grand churches and quaint white houses, Ostuni boasts remarkable history that goes back to the Stone Ages. The Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace are especially striking, but there are many other architectural gems to be found, including the old homes of the nobles: you would not be mistaken for thinking that you are actually wandering around a lovely Greek village.

The property is a few kilometers from the town of Martina Franca, the largest town in the Valle d’Itria. Being in the heart of the valley, the town of Martina Franca is a great base from which to explore this wonderful area, but spend some time exploring its old center, an interesting mix of golden baroque and Greek-like white architecture with many grand palazzi and churches, and a maze of narrow side streets perfect for aimless wandering.

In less than one hour by car, you can reach Locorotondo, a whitewashed hilltop town designated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The old city radiates out around the 19th century neoclassical Chiesa Madre San Giorgio, a church dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Since Locorotondo is perched on a hill, you can get amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the Villa Comunale, the public garden located on the west side of the historic center.

Palazzo Manduria is 51 km from Brindisi Airport (also known as Salento Airport) and 148 km from Bari Karol Wojtyla International Airport. The palace is in the center of Manduria, close to the Jewish Quarter, where you will find all the necessary services. The Property. Immersed in a generous 4000-sqm garden, Palazzo Manduria boasts an elegant atmosphere, offering its guests tranquility, comfort, luxury and total peace of mind in one of the most evocative corners in Apulia. Built in 1881 in a quiet alley right the heart of Manduria, close to the Jewish Quarter, this elegant palazzo offers a noble atmosphere linked to authentic and international hospitality. Palazzo Manduria commodate up to twelve guests featuring six exclusive suites (double bedrooms) complete with en-suite bathroom.

Surrounded by an impressive garden with secular trees of a forest that once belonged to Frederick II, Duke of Swabia, the palazzo boasts an exceptional saltwater pool with Jacuzzi and a spacious poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the area beside the pool, partly shaded by the surrounding vegetation, is the perfect spot for moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco. Near the pool you will find also a covered area complete with bar and two bathrooms with shower.

On the ground floor you will find a professional kitchen (staff use only) and a bright breakfast/dining area with veranda. The veranda can be accessed from the garden, walking by a terrace with outdoor furnishing. Inside the building there are two staircases, the main and ancient one that connects the ground floor to the first floor, and a service one that connects the four floors of the building. Adjacent to the service staircase, you will find an elevator serving all the floors.

On the ground floor you will find four exceptional suites: Suite Bohemian 1, which can be converted into a twin room, complete with bathroom with shower; and Suite Bohemian 2, complete with bathroom with shower and double vanity. On request, this room can be connected to the first through a small exclusive corridor. Suite Art Deco 1, with double bathroom with shower; and Suite Coloniale, which boasts an elegant bathtub in a corner of the room and a bathroom with shower.

On the first floor you will find the other two suites: Suite Art Deco 2, which can be converted into a twin room, complete with bathroom with shower; and Top Suite, complete with bathroom with both shower and tub. This room can be connected to an octagonal living room where two twin beds for children can be added on request (children under the age of eleven). All bathrooms are en-suite. On the first floor you will find a sitting area which is connected to an octagonal lounge area with comfortable sofas and armchairs.
