Famous for its whitewashed towns, excellent food, dramatic coastal cliffs, and beautiful beaches, this region of southern Apulia features all the ingredients for the perfect vacation.

Bequeathed with baroque buildings by its 17th-century architects, the city of Lecce has a completeness and homogeneity that other southern Italian metropolises lack. Indeed, so distinctive is Lecce’s architecture that it has acquired its own moniker, "Lecce Baroque," an expressive and decorative incarnation of the genre replete with gargoyles, asparagus columns, and cavorting gremlins. Swooning 18th-century traveler Thomas Ashe thought it “the most beautiful city in Italy.”

Porto Cesareo sits on a prestigious part of the Ionian coast, enjoying a long stretch of beach and sparkling, clean seas. The popular seaside resort boasts an amazing 17 km of golden beach facing an archipelago of low-lying islands that form a protected bay. The water is calm and clear. Porto Cesareo is also home to a nature preserve, which is a marine protected area rich in flora and fauna with very rare species. Encircled by old olive trees and within easy reach of one of the three ancient gates of the old city centre of Lecce, Villa Arancio is a charming villa located in one of the most evocative corners in southern Italy. With a private pool and exclusive pieces of art, photography, and furniture by significant 20th-century artists, this exceptional villa boasts a calm atmosphere. Set in a four-hectare area of olive and citrus groves, Villa Arancio can accommodate up to twelve guests (plus two children) in six double bedrooms.

The poolside area is the perfect spot to relax with a good book or a glass of prosecco. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the villa features a generous terrace with a dining area for up to fourteen guests and a quiet terrace for yoga sessions and wonderful moments of relaxation.

With an exquisite blend of classic Apulian charm and modern comfort, the property boasts an impeccable and contemporary atmosphere. Flooded with natural light, the interiors of the villa are filled with pieces of art, photography, and furniture. With vaulted ceilings, the villa features a well-equipped kitchen with a long island bench. Offering a modern atmosphere, the villa houses areas designed for leisure time with your fellow guests, such as a TV room and a music room.

With accommodation all on one level, the villa can accommodate twelve guests in six double bedrooms, each with air conditioning and its own en-suite bathroom. In each bedroom, the marble shower and sink are inside the room, while the toilet and a smaller sink are behind a door. The master bedroom also has a freestanding tub. Two bedrooms have a mezzanine level. In one of these two bedrooms, the mezzanine level houses comfortable twin beds suitable for children, accommodating up to two additional guests. This mezzanine level also has access to a terrace.

Retention time
