In less than ten minutes by car, you can also reach the town of Alberobello, perhaps the most famous town in the Valle d’Itria due to its typical trulli: the conical rooftops coupled with charming cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses are a simply magical sight. The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consists of a maze of lovely streets and steps lined by trulli. Alberobello is considered a unique and enchanting place, and despite the fact that you may find it a bit touristy, it is definitely worth a visit.
In just ten minutes by car, you can easily reach Locorotondo, a whitewashed hilltop town designated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The old city radiates out around the 19th century neoclassical Chiesa Madre San Giorgio, a church dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Since Locorotondo is perched on a hill, you can get amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the Villa Comunale, the public garden located on the west side of the historic center.
The villa is just a stone’s throw away from the town of Martina Franca, the largest town in the Valle d’Itria. Being in the heart of the valley, the town of Martina Franca is a great base from which to explore this wonderful area, but spend some time exploring its old center, an interesting mix of golden baroque and Greek-like white architecture with many grand palazzi and churches, and a maze of narrow side streets perfect for aimless wandering.
The villa is also a few kilometers from Savelletri, a pretty port town with beaches and great dining options. Known for the quality seafood, Savelletri offers a traditional fishing village atmosphere. Enjoy some fresh fish just brought in by the fishermen and stroll along the charming seafront. There is a lovely waterfront church with Templar symbols, which is dedicated to the patron saint, celebrated in grand style on the second Sunday of August with a procession by sea of boats.
In forty minutes by car, you can easily reach Ostuni, also known as “the white city”. With its ancient cobblestone streets, grand churches and quaint white houses, Ostuni boasts remarkable history that goes back to the Stone Ages. Flooded with natural light and with exposed stone vaults, this exclusive villa features typical characteristics of the region with a contemporary twist. This villa has been lovingly and carefully restored while preserving the atmosphere of a traditional Apulian farmhouse. Moreover, Villa Franca offers the unique experience of living in an authentic trullo, a traditional Apulian dry stone hut-shaped building. This lovingly-restored farmhouse features eleven traditional trulli and is the perfect countryside retreat.
The villa boasts an exceptional swimming pool (heated on request, extra) and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers. During the day, guests can relax on the outdoor lounges, while the fire pit is perfect for evening drinks and socializing. Tasty al fresco lunches and dinners can be prepared in the poolside kitchen and barbecue area, and enjoyed in the sunshine or under the shade of a pergola. Outdoors you will also find a vegetable garden with abundance of fresh greens for guests to enjoy.

White-washed walls and stone floors offer a light and airy atmosphere. Offering an impressive sense of comfort, the main building houses a cozy living area with a dining table, and a small utility kitchen. With a palette of warm and neutral colors, the living area features comfortable sofas with plenty of seating. The property’s main kitchen and dining area are only accessible from the garden, allowing direct access to the al fresco dining areas. Three of the bedrooms are within the main house. The master suite spreads across four trulli cones, each linked by an archway.
