Villa Mea is set in the peaceful countryside of Nardò, one of Southern Apulia’s most charming towns. Surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, the villa offers a quiet retreat just a short drive from the sea. Nardò is known for its beautiful baroque architecture and lively town centre, perfect for a relaxed stroll. The area is rich in nature, with coastal paths, hidden coves, and pretty beaches close by, ideal for those looking to enjoy both the coast and countryside in an authentic Apulian setting.

The area surrounding Villa Mea is rich in natural beauty and offers countless opportunities for exploration. Just a short drive away lies the Porto Selvaggio Nature Reserve, one of the most scenic coastal parks in Apulia. Here, pine forests open onto rocky coves and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing in an unspoilt setting. The reserve also offers panoramic walking trails with stunning views over the Ionian Sea, making it a favourite spot for nature lovers.

A few kilometres from the villa, you will find some of the region’s most picturesque seaside villages, including Santa Caterina, Santa Maria al Bagno and Sant’Isidoro. These small coastal towns are perfect for a leisurely day by the sea, offering charming promenades, small harbours, cafés, and traditional seafood restaurants. For longer days at the beach, the wide sandy shores of Porto Cesareo and Rivabella are easily reachable and ideal for families, thanks to their shallow, calm waters, and beach clubs with full services.

Culture and history enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the baroque town of Nardò itself, with its elegant piazzas, churches, and historic palazzi. Further afield, but still within easy reach, are the vibrant city of Lecce—famous for its baroque treasures and artisan boutiques—and the lively coastal town of Gallipoli, with its old town set on a small island and its lively beaches and nightlife. Villa Mea is 81 km from Brindisi Airport (also known as Salento Airport) and 200 km from Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport. The beach at Porto Selvaggio is about 5 km from the villa, Santa Caterina beach is 2.5 km away, and Santa Maria al Bagno beach is 4 km. Other sandy beaches are around 7 km distant. Rivabella lies 11 km away, Sant’Isidoro 10 km, Porto Cesareo 17 km, and the beaches of Gallipoli are approximately 15–20 km away. Nardò is 6 km from the villa, Lecce is 34 km, Gallipoli is 14 km, and Otranto is 63 km.

The Property
Located just outside the picturesque fishing village of Santa Caterina in the Porto Selvaggio area, Villa Mea is a charming villa in one of the most evocative corners of Southern Italy. Offering rustic yet elegant interiors, this exclusive villa features white walls and natural colours reflecting the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. The villa can accommodate up to six guests in three spacious bedrooms (two double bedrooms and one twin room), each with its own private bathroom.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the villa boasts an exceptional kidney-shaped pool with a Jacuzzi corner and a generous paved poolside area furnished with sun loungers, inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Providing a tranquil atmosphere, the poolside area also includes an al fresco dining space shaded by a white pergola. The garden also features two outdoor showers with hot water and a guest bathroom complete with a washing machine.

Flooded with natural light, the interior living space comprises an open-plan living and dining area, where you will find a cosy TV corner. Offering a welcoming atmosphere, the villa also features a fully equipped kitchen for preparing delicious local dishes, which can be enjoyed either in the dining area or outside on the fully furnished patio. The villa includes three bedrooms: two doubles and one twin room, each with an en-suite bathroom with shower. The twin beds can be converted into a double bed with a mattress pad.
