In just twenty minutes by car, you can easily reach the walled medieval city of Montalcino, extremely well-known for the production of its precious Brunello red wine, one of the world’s best and most appreciated Italian wines. From here, you can reach the picturesque town of Pienza, also known as “the ideal city of Renaissance”, and the medieval town of Montepulciano. Standing high atop a hill not far from Siena, Montepulciano boasts elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and breathtaking views over the wonderful Val d’Orcia.

In less than one hour by car, you can easily reach the medieval town of Siena, whose heart is represented by the magnificent Piazza del Campo, scene of the lively Palio horse race, which is held twice a year in July and August. The Campo is dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and its Mangia Tower, from which it is possible to admire the town.
