Located near Nerano, this modern six-bedroom villa is the perfect place for a stylish break on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. At the tip of the beautiful Sorrento Peninsula, Nerano is a charming, little-known fishing village on the Amalfi Coast. Built into the mountains overlooking a picturesque harbour below, Nerano is surrounded by one of the most untouched and dramatic areas of the Amalfi Coast.

Despite its attractive setting, what brings most visitors to Nerano is Marina del Cantone. A steep road leads from the village of Nerano down to Marina del Cantone, where brightly coloured umbrellas line the beach against the backdrop of the sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea. The pebbly beach hugs the gentle curve of the quiet harbour, with numerous lidos offering sun beds and umbrellas for rent.

To the west and south-west of Sorrento lies the hilly hinterland of Massa Lubrense and a wild stretch of coast that developers have left untouched. Massa Lubrense is home to hamlets and ancient lookout towers, reminders of the repeated invasions over the centuries, surrounded by citrus and olive groves. Set in the hills just below the ridge that divides Sorrento from the sheer southern coastline is the village of Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, named for its commanding views over the gulfs of both Naples and Salerno.

The town centre of Sorrento is laid out on a Roman grid of lanes, now lined with restaurants serving gnocchi and shops selling lemon-themed souvenirs. Away from the well-trodden paths, there are little-explored nooks and crannies. The vaulted Sedile Dominova, once a meeting space for the aristocracy, is now a working men's club where locals spend afternoons playing cards. Traditional greengrocers and haberdashers huddle behind wooden shop fronts, alongside medieval palaces and artisan workshops.

If Sorrento feels too busy, the laid-back town of Vico Equense, perched on a sheer tufa cliff just along the coast, makes an attractive base. Beachgoers head for the small pockets of sand tucked into coves at Marina di Vico and Marina d'Aequa, while walkers tackle the old footpath to Positano, clinging to the cliffs of the Amalfi coastline. Culture enthusiasts hop on the Circumvesuviana train to explore the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, both destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius.

The Property
Situated on a sheer cliff with spectacular views of the sea, Villa Nerea is a luxurious and sophisticated residence that doubles as a modern piece of art, where minimalism welcomes guests with a delicate embrace. Trapped between an infinite blue sky and azure sea, this contemporary villa provides the ultimate retreat for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in one of the most evocative corners of the Amalfi Coast. Villa Nerea can accommodate twelve guests in six double bedrooms spread over multiple floors.

On the top floor, you will find a generous rooftop terrace overlooking Capri. Minimal in design, the terrace features an exclusive heated Jacuzzi, comfortable sun loungers, and a fitness area under the shade of a gazebo. Fitness enthusiasts will be able to maintain their workout regimen without leaving the comfort of their own villa. The lower floor boasts an exceptional in-ground pool with a waterfall overlooking the sea, complete with water jets. The outdoor area also features a dining area for up to 16 guests, complete with a barbecue, and a lounge area.

With its essential lines, the villa boasts two kitchens: a generous one ideal for lunch and dinner, and a smaller one perfect for breakfast. The larger kitchen is located on the upper floor, while the smaller one is on the lower floor. On the lower floor, you will also find a bright lounge area with a TV. Designed to blend contemporary style with a touch of seaside romance, the six bedrooms of the villa are spread over two floors.

Offering a tranquil atmosphere, three rooms are located on the first floor, each with its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. All the rooms on this floor have access to the same balcony, which offers wonderful views of the sea. On the lower ground floor, you will find the remaining bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. Please note that one of these rooms has no balcony and does not overlook the sea. Air conditioning is available throughout the villa.
